Radnor rallies past Springfield-Delco, 13-12

(CONTINUED)

“It was our hardest game this year. When we were down by two, it was a really big surprise to us. We hadn’t been down, ever. It was a gut check and we had to really dig deep down inside and see if we wanted it more.”
Radnor goalie Katie Geary made nine saves, the biggest on Springfield’s Taylor Broome (two goals) with a minute left.
“This was her best game by far, she did unbelievable,” said Ellis.
Barnes knew early this year that Radnor had something special brewing.
“We knew it would be a strong year, but you never know until you begin playing,” she said. “Then after the first couple of games our team had a lot of chemistry and worked well together. We’re all really good friends, inside and outside of school.”
