NP's Wilus relishes honor from La Salle
(CONTINUED)

Wilus, a 100-point scorer in basketball at North Penn, also spent five years (2001-05) on the U.DS. Developmental Lacrosse team and was named Academic All-Conference in 2001 and 2002.
“My parents have been such a tremendous influence in my life,” she said. “They taught me about dedication, persistence, and hard work. I have carried these traits with me throughout career.”
Her own athletic career behind her, Wilus now infuses these characteristics into the Maidens’ lacrosse team. Last year North Penn qualified for the District 1 tournament (13-6-1 record) and this year the team has a large group of returnees and even higher expectations.
“When I left LaSalle, I had a strong desire to stay involved in the sport through coaching,” she said. “When the head coaching job opened up at North Penn I was excited to possibly get the opportunity to be back at my alma mater.”
